Foundation

When you’re given a gift, you want to take care of it!

We at St. Thomas believe that Catholic education is a gift – for our young people, for the future.  Our singular goal for the St. Thomas Foundation is to maintain stability to ensure the future of the gift of Catholic education for the Catholic youth of Madison.  To do that we want you to know what the foundation is about, what the Foundation has done and where the Foundation hopes to be in 20 years.

The STS Foundation is allowed by law to receive gifts and donations other than cash contributions.  The Foundation urges all who want to support St. Thomas School to remember the Foundation in wills and bequests. The Foundation urges donors to be mindful of the Foundation as the beneficiary of insurance policies. The Foundation is also prepared to receive gifts of real and personal property. Gifts and bequests to the STS Foundation provide an excellent opportunity for a donor to save income and estate taxes, while contributing to a very worthy cause.

The long-term goal of the Foundation is to invest one million dollars so that the annual interest earned will be substantial enough to help meet the needs of the school well into the future. These goals can be accomplished only if there are regular and substantial contributions through the years. The STS Foundation invites donors to make a pledge of financial support which may be spread over several years.  Single one-time gifts are also most welcome. All gifts to the Foundation help ensure the ongoing gift of Catholic education will be available for the future.

Developing both the mind and soul is why St. Thomas School is a gift to our church, our community and our world. All gifts to the St. Thomas Foundation are tax deductible.
